What is Wonderful Neoran Valley
A narrative monster-collector roguelite from Nara Studio: what the Valley is, who the Knight and Iris are, and how it differs from a Pokémon-like.
Read →How Wonderful Neoran Valley plays
The loop from arrival to run end: explore a biome, talk a Neoran into joining, plan seven turns of combat, spend Neura charges, and start again wiser.
Read →The seven-turn Timeline
How the Timeline works: what the Knight's foresight shows, how actions are queued, how enemy combos read, and where the seven turns actually bite.
Read →Recruiting Neoran, not catching them
Neoran are people, not pets: how the studio describes recruiting, what dialogue does, why evolution changes a recruit, and what it means for team building.
Read →Release date watch
Everything published about the release: Steam says coming soon, the studio FAQ says 2028, and here is exactly where to check for the next update yourself.
Read →The Neoran roster published so far
Fourteen Neoran named and described by Nara Studio, six with official portraits: habitats, temperaments and the one line that tells you what each is for.
Read →Wonderful Neoran Valley is a monster-collector roguelite from Nara Studio, and it is doing one thing differently from almost every game in its genre: you do not catch the creatures, you talk them into coming with you. The studio's own one-line pitch is "a monster-collector roguelite where the next 7 turns are yours to plan" — and both halves of that sentence matter. The collecting is a conversation, and the combat is a planning problem.
The game was announced properly on 27 October 2026, when the Steam page went live alongside a new trailer. There is no price, no release day and no demo; the studio's own FAQ answers the release question with "sometime in 2028". That leaves a specific job for a guide in 2026: separate what has been shown from what people are guessing.

That is the whole public record. Move damage, stat spreads, biome order and boss names have not been released, and a guide that fills those gaps with numbers is writing fiction.
Why the seven turns change the genre
Most turn-based games hide the enemy's plan. This one prints it. The Knight — the character you control — has foresight that shows what every enemy Neoran intends to do several turns ahead, and the studio puts that number at seven. Combat becomes a scheduling problem: your team's actions go onto the same track the enemy is already standing on.
Because the queue is shared, order beats raw power. A shield placed on turn five does nothing if the enemy's finisher is queued for turn three. That is why this site has a page on the timeline and another on Synapse, the trick that lets a creature act before the queue starts.
The Valley, and the thing wrong with it
The Valley is inhabited by Neoran: an evolution of animal and plant life shaped by a primal force called Neura. They speak, they hold opinions, some run organised crime. Under the surface, aberrations called Neura Clusters are corrupting the place, and the story runs through them one expedition at a time.
Two leads carry it. The Knight is a soldier of the Order of Knights, genetically modified through Neura injections, selected for a reconnaissance mission into the Valley. Iris is a baby dragon who has spent about eighty years wandering that same Valley and wants to forge the greatest Neura jewel ever made. The studio credits Troy Baker and Ben Starr as their voices.
How to read this site
Start with what the game is, then the core loop. Buying it for the combat? Go to the seven-turn timeline and Synapse. For practical questions — can my laptop run it, what languages, which platforms — the requirements page and the languages comparison matter most, because those are where the studio's own pages disagree.
Every page here carries a checked date; this one was verified against Steam, the studio's site and its newsroom on 28 October 2026.
